SUMMARY:Illuminate Contemporary Dance Concert
DESCRIPTION:We are thrilled to announce the 2nd annual Illuminate contemporary dance concert taking place February 1, 2025 at Ames City Auditorium. The goal is to educate and enrich the public. Art has the power to amplify our voices and build community. We would like to cultivate dance in the community, give today’s Dancenter Dancers an opportunity to perform, and bring back working artists to showcase their work. It is important to give contemporary dance artists a platform to return to the Ames community. It is also valuable to show the next generation of dancers what is possible.\nIlluminate will include professional choreography, as well as performances by the current Dancenter Dancer members and aspiring dancers throughout the Ames community. We are holding a series of outreach classes for K-5 students. These community outreach classes are designed to foster teamwork, creativity, and joy of accomplishment through dance.
