DESCRIPTION:Join us as we open our newest exhibit, Voices of Hildegard. This exhibition, inspired by the works of Hildegard of Bingen, comes from artist Christopher Hynes. The reception begins at 5:30, with a program beginning at 6:00 with Good Company, a women’s choral ensemble in Ames, sharing two of Hildegard’s compositions, followed by an artist talk.\nA resident of Austin, Texas since 1984, Christopher has exhibited his work across the country in both solo and group shows. In describing his current work he says, “These simple yet powerful forms are inspired by Hildegard’s Benedictine tradition, evoking spiritual balance, the intersection of the earthly and the divine, and the cyclical nature of spiritual growth. “\n
