DESCRIPTION:Opioid Overdose Education and Narcan Training will teach participants the basics of opioids, signs and symptoms of an opioid overdose, the science behind Narcan, and Narcan administration.\nA free box of Narcan will be available for each participant while supplies last. Register in advance to guarantee receiving yours at the event.\nPresented in partnership with Ames Public Library, Community and Family Resources, SAMSHA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration), Iowa HHS (Health and Human Services), and Partnerships in Prevention Science Institute at Iowa State University. Funded through the State Opioid Response Grant.\n
