Welcome to Knife Skills 101, a hands-on workshop where we’re diving deep into the art of slicing and dicing safely. This class is designed for everyone, whether you’re a novice looking to build confidence in the kitchen or a seasoned home cook wanting to refine your skills and trust yourself with that scary sharp knife. Bring your chef’s knife from home and we’ll sharpen it for you prior to class.

We’ll tackle the essential techniques that will elevate your culinary game and make you feel like a pro. You’ll get your hands dirty as we chop, julienne, and dice our way to knife mastery. We’ll work with fresh ingredients, learning not just how to wield a knife, but also the importance of technique, safety, and efficiency. This isn’t just about cutting; it’s about understanding your tools and how to use them to create beautiful dishes. By the end of the session, you’ll feel empowered and ready to tackle any recipe that comes your way. So grab your apron, and let’s get to work in the kitchen!

Skills Covered:
– Proper knife handling and safety techniques
– How to choose the right knife for different tasks
– Basic chopping techniques for vegetables, Julienne and dice techniques for precision cutting
– How to maintain and care for your knives

For hands-on classes we recommend wearing close-toed shoes, tying up any loose hair, and avoiding overly baggy clothing. Aprons will be provided.
